Agenda for konferansen:
Introduksjon Borg CO2
Hvor skal vi? Planer, kommende behov og evt. anskaffelsesprosesser
Åpent for spørsmål, kommentarer etc.
Velkommen!

Borg CO2 plans
Event at Polyteknisk about the latest news on CCS
November 5th 2019, Borg CO2 attended an event by Polyteknisk Forening, in Oslo. The theme of the evening was ‘the latest news on the specific projects to establish a full-scale CO₂ capture and storage chain.
Pål Mikkelsen, head of steering group, presented Borg CO2s project (and partners) in a panel debate led by Anne Strømmen Lycke, CEO, Norsar. Here together with Alf Tore Haug, Group Energy Efficiency Manager, Elkem and Olav Øye, Senior Advisor, CO₂ capture and storage, Bellona.
The London Protocol is no longer a barrier to transboundary export of CO2!
“Transboundary export of carbon dioxide (CO2) for the purpose of carbon capture and storage (or "sequestration") can now be provisionally allowed under certain circumstances, Parties to the London Protocol have agreed.” For more information, see: International Maritime Organization
Turning Oslo into the world's first carbon-negative city
Oslo plan on reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 by 95 per cent relative to the 2009 level. In order to make the CO2 calculation negative, the city council will ensure that the city's nature is managed in a way that increases the absorption of greenhouse gas in forest and vegetation. It is also crucial for the goal that a full-scale carbon capture plant at the Klemetsrud waste facility be put in place.

Article - Østfold Energi
One of the project in the CCS-cluster project is Østfold Energi. They’ve published an article about the project. You can read it here: https://www.ostfoldenergi.no/nytt-prosjekt-kan-fa-betydning-for-klimautfordringene/
Visit from Norwegian Environment agency
In June the Norwegian Environment Agency visited Øra. Amongst their stops were Borg Havn where they got a presentation of the harbor. In addition to that Hanne L. Raadal from Østfoldforskning held a presentation about Borg CO2 - CCS-cluster.

Kick-Off Borg CO2
Thursday the 27th of June 2019 we “kicked off” the project with majority of the project partnerts present! We now look forward to contributing to the United Nations sustainability goals, circular economics and national climate policy through reduced emissions of CO2.
CCS- industrial cluster - Øra & regionally. Goals:
Contributing to increased value creation with partners and developing today's business models towards the future environmental requirements
Development of local and regional competence and environmental workplace
Contributing to the development of new small-scale technology, decarbonization, transport solutions as well as the sustainable use, and storage of CO2
The project will involve:
Exchange of experience and technology development, to significantly reduced operations and investment costs
Integration into and expanded use of established value chains, i.e. transport and storage
Developing business models, financing solutions and legal frameworks-for predictable operation with acceptable profitability
